Best Floor Liners for an F-150: Husky WeatherBeater for Most Trucks

Quick Take
Buy the Husky WeatherBeater for most F-150s, work trucks included. It's a hard tray that covers the dead pedal (the footrest left of the brake), grips the carpet with hundreds of nibs and keeps its edges flat for years, and it costs noticeably less than a WeatherTech FloorLiner for the same cab. Husky has confirmed listings for the Gen14 SuperCrew with rear storage, the SuperCrew without it and the SuperCab.
The listing matters as much as the brand. F-150 liners split by cab, front seat, rear under-seat storage and floor, and the WeatherBeater front pair and sets we confirmed won't fit a vinyl-floor work truck. Pick TuxMat if you want the most carpet covered and a less slick floor in winter, and the WeatherTech if you drive a SuperCrew with a front bench, which only WeatherTech's listing names.
Each of the four liners below wins a different F-150 owner, from the work truck to the snow-country commuter, and each fit table shows which listing matches your cab, seats and rear storage. See picks ↓
F-150 floor liners are sold by layout, not just by year. The listings split the SuperCrew from the SuperCab, bench seats from buckets, trucks with storage under the rear seat from trucks without it, and carpeted floors from vinyl ones. Order the wrong one and it goes back in the box, so the fit tables in this guide matter as much as the picks.
For most F-150s we'd buy the Husky WeatherBeater. It isn't the softest liner here and it doesn't cover the most carpet, but it does the job a floor liner is for, keeping mud, salt and slush off the carpet, for less money and with fewer curled edges than the WeatherTech. TuxMat and the WeatherTech FloorLiner each win one kind of owner outright. The 3D MAXpider Kagu is the cheapest set for one common layout; it's the one pick here we haven't reviewed.
The best F-150 floor liner for each job
Start with how the truck gets used, then find the listing for your cab.
- Most trucks, work trucks included: the Husky WeatherBeater. It covers the dead pedal, holds the carpet with its nibs and draws far fewer curling complaints than WeatherTech. It's about as hard as a WeatherTech, so you can pull it and pour it out the same way.
- Snow, slush and the most carpet covered: TuxMat. A textured vinyl top over an EVA foam core runs up the footwell sidewalls, so it covers more than either tray and isn't as slick in snow and ice. It holds less in a big spill and costs about the same as a WeatherTech set on the F-150 SuperCrew.
- A front bench seat: the WeatherTech FloorLiner. Its SuperCrew bench-seat set is the only bench listing we confirmed. Edges that curl over time are its most common complaint.
- The lowest price: the 3D MAXpider Kagu, for a 2015-2024 SuperCrew with front bucket seats and no underseat storage. It has a thermoplastic rubber surface over a foam layer, per its listing, and it's the cheapest set here.
- A vinyl floor or a Regular Cab: none of the four has a confirmed listing for either. The work-truck section below covers what to do.
The liners side by side
All three reviewed liners are laser-measured for a specific vehicle and sold by cab and seat layout; the Husky WeatherBeater, WeatherTech FloorLiner and TuxMat reviews lay out each maker's material, coverage, install and warranty terms. The Kagu, which we haven't reviewed, has a thermoplastic rubber surface over a lightweight XPE foam layer, an anti-skid backing and raised side edges, per its listing.
Don't buy either tray expecting softness: Husky's listing calls the WeatherBeater soft underfoot, but the people who stand on it mostly call it rigid, hard or stiff. The soft pair is Husky's X-act Contour, which we like for its grip though owners say newer sets run thinner, and WeatherTech's FloorLiner HP, which we haven't confirmed for the F-150.
Match the listing to your cab, seats and rear storage
Work through it in order: cab, front seat, what's under the rear seat, then the floor. Here is what we confirmed on each listing's own product page, plus the listings we found but couldn't confirm:
Your F-150 | Husky WeatherBeater | WeatherTech FloorLiner | TuxMat | 3D MAXpider Kagu |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Gen14 SuperCrew with rear storage | Three-piece set, 2021-2026, Lightning included | 1st & 2nd row set, 2021-2026, front bucket seats | Separate listing; fit not confirmed | Listing for bucket seats with underseat storage; fit not confirmed |
Gen13 SuperCrew with rear storage | Front pair confirmed; a three-piece set is listed, fit not confirmed | None confirmed | None confirmed | None confirmed |
SuperCrew without rear storage | Front pair plus a one-piece rear liner, 2015-2026; neither names a seat type | 1st & 2nd row set, 2015-2026, front bench seat only | 1st & 2nd row set, 2021-2027 only | Full set, 2015-2024, front bucket seats only |
SuperCab | Three-piece set, 2015-2026, SuperCab only | 1st & 2nd row set, 2015-2026, front bucket seats; the title says SuperCab and a bullet says SuperCrew | On TuxMat's site; no Amazon listing confirmed | Front-row listing for SuperCab and SuperCrew buckets; fit not confirmed |
Vinyl floor or Regular Cab | Front pair and sets say they won't fit without factory carpet; no Regular Cab listing confirmed | None confirmed | None confirmed | Listings for a vinyl-floor Gen14 SuperCrew and a Regular Cab; fit not confirmed |
The fit tables under the picks carry each listing's exact wording. Buy new: a used set carries no warranty from Husky, WeatherTech or TuxMat, since all three cover the original buyer only.
Rear storage decides the most. Lift the rear seat cushion and look before you order. The makers name the feature differently, as fold-flat storage, underseat storage or lockable fold-out storage, so match the listing's own words to what you find. On a Gen14 SuperCrew with storage, the confirmed choices are Husky's three-piece set and WeatherTech's bucket-seat set. The TuxMat set and the Kagu set we confirmed are both for trucks without it.
Then check the front seat. WeatherTech splits its SuperCrew sets by seat and storage together: the 2021-2026 set is for front buckets with the rear fold-flat storage box, and the 2015-2026 set is for a front bench with no fold-flat storage. They aren't interchangeable, and a SuperCrew with buckets and no rear storage, or a bench with storage, has no WeatherTech set we confirmed. Husky's front pair doesn't name a seat type, so compare the listing photos with your floor. The Kagu set is for buckets only.
On a SuperCab, the Husky three-piece set is listed for the SuperCab only, and its front pair covers both cabs. WeatherTech's SuperCab listing says SuperCab in the title and SuperCrew in one bullet, so confirm the cab with the seller before you order. The Husky SuperCab set is noticeably cheaper than WeatherTech's.
Gen14 or Gen13, Lightning, Raptor and hybrid
The 14th-generation F-150 (Gen14, 2021 on) and the 13th (Gen13, 2015-2020) share a lot of liner listings. Husky's front pair, its SuperCab set and its one-piece rear liner, WeatherTech's bench-seat and SuperCab sets, and the Kagu set are each listed for both generations. The storage sets we confirmed are Gen14 only: Husky's three-piece set and WeatherTech's bucket-seat set read 2021-2026. Husky also lists a three-piece storage set for 2015-2026 trucks, which we haven't confirmed, so check fit for your truck. The TuxMat set we confirmed, for trucks without the storage, reads 2021-2027. Go by the year range on the listing, not by how alike the two cabs look.
Watch the end years too. The Kagu set we confirmed stops at 2024, so a 2025 or 2026 SuperCrew needs the newer Kagu listing, which we haven't confirmed; search for the 2025-on Kagu set and check fit for your truck.
Lightning owners have more confirmed choices than they might expect. Husky's three-piece storage set names the 2022-2026 Lightning, and its front pair and rear liner name 2022-2025. WeatherTech's Gen14 bucket-seat set names only the 2022-2023 Lightning. The TuxMat and Kagu sets we confirmed don't name it, so check fit for your truck. For the frunk, 3D MAXpider sells a Kagu frunk liner listed for the 2022-2026 Lightning, which we confirmed on its listing.
WeatherTech's Gen14 SuperCrew set also names the Raptor, and TuxMat's says it fits hybrid models. The Husky and Kagu listings we confirmed name neither, so confirm with the seller if you drive one.
Vinyl floors and work trucks
A work truck with carpet doesn't change our pick. The WeatherBeater is as hard as the original FloorLiner, so it lifts out and pours just as well, and curling follows the WeatherTech onto job sites. Studded wading boots and steel toes haven't hurt a WeatherBeater.
A vinyl floor does change it. The WeatherBeater front pair, SuperCab set and Gen14 storage set all say they won't fit models without factory carpet. WeatherTechs do go into vinyl-floor F-150s, but we didn't confirm a WeatherTech listing that names it, so check fit for your truck. 3D MAXpider lists Kagu sets for a vinyl-floor Gen14 SuperCrew with underseat storage and for the Regular Cab with a bench seat and vinyl floor; we found both but haven't confirmed either. Husky's softer X-act Contour is another route: an XL with a vinyl floor runs one without it moving around much. Husky's FAQ says the X-act works on clean vinyl floors, but the F-150 sets and front pairs we confirmed say they won't fit models without factory carpet, so ask Husky for the right part number first.
None of the four picks has a Regular Cab listing we confirmed. If you drive one, start with the maker's own vehicle lookup and buy only a listing that names the Regular Cab.
Coverage, grip and winter boots
Coverage is a trade between the footrest and the walls. The WeatherBeater covers the dead pedal, where your left boot drips salt water the whole drive, and WeatherTech's own FAQ concedes only partial dead-pedal coverage on some vehicles. WeatherTech's walls climb higher in a few spots, such as the transmission tunnel, the center console or the front wheel-well trim. TuxMat covers more than either, running up the footwell sidewalls.
Every hard liner gets slick under a snowy boot, Husky included, though WeatherTech draws more of those complaints. Underneath, Husky's nibs hold the liner on the carpet, while a WeatherTech relies on the factory retention posts. If a slick floor is what bothers you, TuxMat's surface holds up better in snow and ice and is softer underfoot, and the Kagu's pebbled texture gives more grip getting in and out. TuxMat gives up capacity for that: a tray holds standing water inside its walls until you dump it, so for a big spill, fish or thick mud, the Husky and WeatherTech hold more.
Whichever you buy, pull the factory mats first and push every pedal through its full travel before you drive. With TuxMat's extra coverage, also slide each front seat through its travel and close every door; on one car the mats rubbed the door bottoms and the seats.
How they hold up
The WeatherBeater has the best long-term record, with sets that still look new after six, eight and about ten years, while curling is the FloorLiner's most common complaint by a wide margin. TuxMat's record is shorter, about three years for the oldest sets, and stitching is the weak spot so far: an F-150 Lightning set has stitching coming off in a few places after two years and is still going strong.
A set of 3D MAXpider liners held up for nearly five years in a 2017 F-150 XLT, and its owner ordered another for a 2021. Its owner doesn't name the line, it's one truck, and we haven't reviewed the Kagu, so read it as a good sign for the brand rather than a record.
Which liner goes in your F-150
Most F-150s should get the WeatherBeater: the three-piece storage set on a Gen14 SuperCrew that has the rear storage, the front pair and one-piece rear liner on a SuperCrew without it, and the three-piece set on a SuperCab. Pay more for TuxMat if winter grip and carpet coverage matter more than capacity, and for the WeatherTech if you have a SuperCrew with a front bench. On a 2015-2024 SuperCrew with buckets and no rear storage, the Kagu costs the least.
On a vinyl floor, skip the WeatherBeater and check fit on the listings above before you order anything.

TuxMat Custom Floor Mats (1st & 2nd Row)
The most carpet covered and the least slick floor in snow: a vinyl top over an EVA foam core that runs up the sidewalls. Priced about like the WeatherTech. The set we confirmed fits 2021-2027 SuperCrews without the lockable rear storage.

What owners say
F-150 owners want a liner that matches their cab, keeps its edges flat and isn't slick in winter. Owners who've had both brands mostly prefer Husky, and many of them mean the softer X-act Contour; their WeatherTech complaints are slick tops and edges that curl or warp. WeatherTech's fans like its fit, its coverage and its customer service, though a 2022 owner found the front passenger side fit off and the surface hard to clean after mud. Lightning owners choosing between those two lean WeatherTech, while the Lightning owners running TuxMats like the coverage, the fit or the look, though one of those sets has stitching coming off in a few places after two years. A 3D MAXpider set held up for nearly five years in a 2017 XLT before its owner bought another for a 2021, and Husky's softer X-act Contour sits well on a vinyl-floor XL. We'd buy the WeatherBeater for most F-150s and let the cab, seats and rear storage pick the listing.
“I have TuxMat liners in my Lightning and I love them. I used to think Weathertech was the best, but after trying these, I won't buy anything but TuxMat liners from now on.”
“Really happy with the tuxmats. Solid construction, excellent fit. Lots of clips and tabs to get fit perfect although I only used three or four in total. No ragrets.”
“This is my second go-round with these 3D Maxpider floor liners. I had a set in my ‘17 XLT before re-ordering for my ‘21 XLT. They’re less heavy duty than the traditional all-weathers, such as Weathertech or Husky, but in my opinion, they are a much cleaner look. The fit is excellent, and I can attest to their durability. I had them in the ‘17 for nearly 5 years under medium wear, and they held up perfectly.”
“We have WT mats in our '17 Explorer and Huskies in our '19 F150. I much prefer the Husky mats. They cover better and lay down very nicely on the floor. I can't speak to the durability of the Husky mats (only a few months in), but after about 2.5 years, the WT mats started to curl around the edges and now really look ratty.”
“I have WeatherTech in my '22. I was very disappointed in the fit on the front passenger side. Laser fit is BS. Plus, they are impossible to ever get really clean again after any sort of mud.”
“Weathertech here. Fit is great and their customer service is excellent. They’ll send brand new liners if you have any issues.”
“Had Weathertech in an F150, slick and didnt sit tight against the sides. Passenger side slid around some.”
“I have the Husky X-Act contour mats in my XL with vinyl. I've been happy with them. They don't move around too much. They are more of a soft rubber than the hard plastic feel of the weathertechs.”
