Owners sayThey like the easy install, the full bed access and the price. Of the twelve who describe water in the bed, seven report a dry or nearly dry bed, three a little water, mostly at the tailgate end in car washes, and two real leaks, both from fit. They like that the folded panels stand on prop rods instead of resting on the cab, the low profile, the build and the long service lives, up to nine years. On water they split evenly, four dry and four with some water; one owner gets water at the tailgate in a car wash while another's cover came through one dry, and only one cover began leaking with age, between the panels in year 3.
Our verdictThe value soft roll-up we would buy over the Lo Pro: drier on owner record and cheaper on most beds; soap and water only, no conditioners. Our hard tri-fold pick: it stands clear of the rear glass and seals better than the MX4 at about the same price.
